remarkably nice original old cars at good prices at Qualcomm swapmeet
0 comments Posted by ai at 10:25 PMVery odd "Give me your best offer, I'll look through all offers and get back to the highest bidder, without really calling this an auction" 4 door chev. Excellent condition, stored since 1970 with various owners that never did anything to improve it. This seller is likely going to be choosy about the next owners intentions, as they seem to give a damn that someone restore it. I say once you

0 comments Posted by ai at 8:38 AMLast week, Volkswagen unveiled the Golf24 endurance racer with which it will compete in this year’s Nürburgring 24-hour race. This is the first time since 2007 that the Germans enter a Golf-based competition model in the event. Unlike its 300HP, front-wheel drive predecessor, the new model gets all-wheel drive and a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine cranking out 440 ponies and 540 Nm (398

I've wondered why more fuel tanks weren't designed with tank level indicators, in the above case, a sightglass. Probably a held over prejudice from my submarine days see more at http://oilandsteel.tumblr.com/

Walter de Silva, head of the group’s design department, told ANE that the concept lineup will include Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen models, plus “one – if not two” Audis.
Furthermore, the Italdesign Giugiaro design studio, acquired by the automaker last spring, will also present two Volkswagen concept cars.
Seeing this kind of commitment, one has to wonder what exactly has Volkswagen is store for us. With the Golf Mk7 said debut in late 2012 or early 2013, we're inclined to say that it’s too early for a design study and the same goes for the next generation Audi A3, due for a release in the summer of 2012. While the manufacturer did say that it wants to expand its North American SUV lineup, information on the subject is scarce, so we wouldn’t bet on an SUV concept either.
In any case, if you have an opinion on the matter, now is the time to share it with us in the comments section below.

2012 Volkswagen Tiguan Facelift: Is this the first Official Photo?
0 comments Posted by ai at 8:08 PMUnlike the supposedly leaked brochure of the refreshed Tiguan we showed you last summer, this photo showing the standard and possibly the more off-road capable Track & Field model, appears to be real. The most notable difference is of course the new front fascia styled in line with VW's latest family face. Word has it that the updated Tiguan SUV will make its world premiere at the Geneva motor show. We'll be sure to keep you updated on any new information that comes up.

VIDEO: Volkswagen's Über Cool Super Bowl 2012 Beetle and Passat TV Spots [Full Edition]
0 comments Posted by ai at 9:20 AM
We've already told you about Volkswagen's plans to air two new commercials during this Sunday's Super Bowl event and even shown you a teaser trailer of the 'Black Beetle' ad, but today, the German automaker released the full TV spots for both the 2012 Passat and 2012 New (or is that New2?) Beetle on Youtube.
The first advert is about the upcoming Beetle and shows a real bug with white racing stripes acting like a car on the forest ground, while the other commercial is for the U.S.-market spec 2012 Passat and is more humorous concentrating on a child dressed up as Darth Vader. Watch them both right after the break.
