2011 BMW 6 Series Convertible first look
It was certainly a surprise for our spy photographers to come across a new generation BMW 6 Series prototype – even more so considering it was the cabriolet version, with the coupe yet to be seen.
As these image show, the 6 Series Cabriolet will continue to be offered with a canvas roof rather than a retractable hard top, most likely to preserve luggage space so as to remain a somewhat practical luxury convertible.

French magazine Auto-Journal unveils for its readers the first graphic variant of the BMW 3 Series GT. As reported in the article, the GT version of the new 3 Series will be presented at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, ahead of the F30 sedan that will arrive in 2012.

The only change in the cabin concerns the convertible models and the use of sun-reflective technology to mitigate temperatures on leather seating, armrest surfaces, headrests, and gear shifter.
In U.S. the 2011 3-Series Coupe and Convertible models will be offered once again in two flavors, the 328i and 335i.
The 2011 335i is fitted with Bavarian new twin scroll single turbocharged 3.0-liter straight six, designated N55, that replaces the previous model’s N54 twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight six.
